PRO bodybuilder Paul Poloczek has suddenly died aged 37, just hours after leaving a tournament.

 

 


Paul Poloczek a professional bodybuilder suddenly died hours after competing in a tournament in Germany. The cause of death is currently unknown but an autopsy will be performed. Poloczek was 37 years old and had been competing professionally for six years. He was originally from Poland but had been living in Germany for the past years.

There is still much unknown about how the 37-year-old passed away and his cause of death has not been released to the public. His death was confirmed in a heartbreaking social media post from his wife who shared the news on her Instagram account.

She wrote: “Bodybuilding was your life. You are not forgotten, you live on in our hearts. We will love you forever."

Poloczek initially got into bodybuilding as a teenager after trying out for his high school football team. Despite being Polish he spent most of his life living in Germany where he joined the Powerhouse Gym franchise in 2002. After becoming the owner he has continued to lead the gym to success.


Poloczek finished second in the German Championships in the Super-Heavyweight division in 2012. He won the amateur tournament of the Arnold Classic in Ohio in 2017 which qualified Poloczek for his pro card.

A few months prior to Thabethe’s death fellow bodybuilder Cedric McMillan passed away at the age of 44. It was reported that McMillan suffered a fatal heart attack whilst working out on a treadmill.
