Cedric McMillan the Arnold Classic champion who died at 44 after "delaying his bodybuilding return due to health issues," passed away

Cedric McMillan a 2017 Arnold Classic winner and IFBB Pro has died at the age of 44 years old


As of this writing, sources indicate that Cedric passed away from a heart attack while exercising on a treadmill However the details surrounding his death have not been confirmed and are still under investigation.

The Pro had to postpone his return to the sport after he had a number of health issues He broke a collarbone and broke a hand. He missed competing in Olympia in 2021 for similar reasons but he was still optimistic about his eventual return to some of the world’s most popular bodybuilding stages.


McMillan's best career accomplishment was when he captured the 2017 Arnold Classic title Cedric's victory speech was spectacular and will be remembered for years to come. 


Sergeant Cedric left behind an inspiring legacy as an instructor at Fort Jackson SC His family first made the tragic news available through a statement.

We will always remember the service of Cedric an American hero who was proud to be an American and to serve his country in our armed forces.

In December 2021 Cedric contracted COVID-19 and began speaking about a scary heart issue that nearly caused his death. The heart issue prevented him from competing in planned competitions at the Legion Sports Fest Pro and the 2021 Arnold Classic.


Arnold Schwarzenegger has voiced his concern with the increasing number of deaths in bodybuilding He has called for reform and additional testing to preserve the health of those who wish to compete in this sport.
